Online Training on Design of Photovoltaic Systems

Online Training on Design of Photovoltaic Systems

This training course will provide a sound understanding of the system components for a grid connected photovoltaic system, how to combine these components for the optimum system performance, how to ensure that the installation of the system equipment meets Australian Standards, and to be able to confirm the system yield and performance of the system including:

  • Factors that impact on the potential output
  • How to design a grid connected PV system
  • Plan and execute installation
  • Determine yield and performance
  • OH&S issues
  • Diagnosis of symptoms of common faults

The course is delivered online by our partner Global Sustainable Energy Solutions.  Successful completion of the course  provides registrants with a Certificate of Completion which the Clean Energy Council will include towards awarding Grid Connected PV System Design Accreditation*.

About our Partner

GSES is an Australian based renewable energy engineering, consultancy and training organisation, undertaking projects in Australia, New Zealand, Asia, Africa and the Pacific Islands. Established in 1998, GSES has a diverse portfolio, and is experienced in both government and private enterprise in relation to system engineering, design, audit and education. Our expertise covers both on grid and off grid renewable energy resources and commercial aspects of RE technology systems and power supplies. GSES is headed by the directors Geoff Stapleton and Susan Neill, both recognised in their own right as leaders in the Australian Renewable Energy Industry. The team they lead consists of highly experienced Renewable Energy Systems Engineers, Designers, Installers, and Trainers. Collectively GSES has over 50 years of knowledge, skill, and expertise and the diversity of knowledge and skill is highly sought after by both government and private enterprise.

Design Accreditation by the Clean Energy Council

Design Accreditation by the Clean Energy Council requires proof that the applicant has completed the equivalent of ‘electrical basics’ at university or similar level.
