EEA is seeking the support of companies able to offer work placement opportunities of up to three months duration for these programs. This provides many benefits to the host company including reducing your selection risk by recruiting skilled and loyal employees who may also happen to be migrants. Work placements also assist in the up-skilling of current employees in management and supervisory skills.

The Professional Year in Engineering is an Australian Government sanctioned program for international engineering graduates who have studies in Australia or at officially recognised overseas universities. This program is for individual graduates seeking the opportunity to better understand the Australian workplace and to achieve a work placement within an engineering team.
The Professional Year in Engineering is highly successful in assisting international graduates to prepare for the Australian workplace and to understand work through its classroom learning and work placements.
In excess of 75% of graduates have found ongoing employment in Australia through the Professional Year. For some classes of visa holders, successful completion of the Professional Year in Engineering may contribute points to their assessment towards permanent residency.
