Presenter for Stormwater Management -Source Control
John introduced stormwater retention technology to Australian practice through his book ‘Storm drainage design in small urban catchments', published by ARRB, in 1986. In 1993, John established the Urban Water Resources Centre (UWRC) at the SA Institute of Technology (now University of SA) to study and demonstrate flood control, pollution control and stormwater harvesting using the principles of retention technology. The results of this research were published by John (as Editor) in 2004 as ‘WSUD: basic procedures for ‘source control' of stormwater - a Handbook for Australian practice'. This book provides the course notes for the EEA Stormwater Management - Source Control short course.

Bruce is the Director of Ballengearry Consulting and is an electrical engineer, forensic engineers, mediator and arbitrator with more than 20 years experience in the design, construction and project management of electrical installations. Bruce has had extensive experience in preparing 'expert reports' and providing 'expert evidence' in a wide range of Australian courts and tribunals. Bruce focuses on the engineering practice aspects of electrical engineering and forensic applications to present material which is relevant to designers, managers, consultants and other related people.

Di has also undertaken extensive government and textbook editing, and contributed reviews and articles to a number of academic journals.

Dr Burt Look is a consulting engineer with more than 25 years professional experience. He specialises in geotechnical engineering and is responsible for the coordination of the geotechnical study, and implementation of the geotechnical findings into the design. He has extensive experience in earthworks design and construction and has published and presented widely on this topic. He has published 2 books and over 25 technical papers. He is the past Chairman of the Queensland Chapter of the Australian Geomechanics Society.
