Brian E. Hewitt  BE(Hons), PhD, MBA, FIE Aust, CPEng, FAIM, FAICD

Brian Hewitt has a depth of experience in the areas of business management, strategic planning, corporate governance, construction, project management and property development. He held senior management, executive and Board positions with the Clough group of companies for over 25 years, and served as Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Clough Limited from the time of its listing on the Australian Stock Exchange in 1998 until his retirement in 2003. He is currently a non-executive Director and Deputy Chairman of the Water Corporation of Western Australia, a Director of Engineering Education Australia and Chairman of the Gravity Discovery Centre. He has served on a number of Boards of listed and private companies, on State and Federal Government advisory committees and is a past President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Western Australia. Brian also has academic qualifications in both engineering and business administration from the University of Western Australia, Queen’s University in Canada and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
 

Professor John Simmons, AM FTSE HonFIEAust

John Simmons is Emeritus Professor at The University of Queensland. He has a long history of teaching and research in mechanical and space engineering. He is a former President of the Australian Council of Engineering Deans. John Simmons has served in many ways on committees of Engineers Australia and is currently national Vice-President of the Australian Academy of Technology Science and Engineering.
