This two day course takes participants through all aspects of project management Unit 1 BSBPMG501A and Unit 2 BSBPMG502A provide in depth examination and practice of a specific scoping and planning toolset.
The course aims to provide survival skills in project management and the foundation concepts and processes. Participants work through the application of these processes and tools to a case exercise and also to a personal project, using a “Complete Project Document” which is also provided after the course in electronic format.
Includes comprehensive workbook, template booklet, checklist and electronic templates.
This is the first of the five x two day modules which make up the Engineering Education Australia Project Management Practice Course and provides a pathway for those seeking a Certificate IV or Diploma level qualification in Project Management. Note: One or more of the five x two day modules can completed in any order.

Iain has been involved in Project Management for over 30 years, as a practitioner, training consultant, troubleshooter, scoping and planning facilitator, and, over the last ten years, as an competency assessor. Iain has worked with many organisations from both the private and public sectors, and has wide experience in different types and phases of projects. He has also spoken to national and international conferences and seminars on project management, and has actively participated in research in project management.
As an EEA expert facilitator, Iain delivers exclusive project management professional development to engineering teams in Australia. As a Registered Training Organisation, Iain and his team at The Moreland Group deliver the EEA Project Management Practice Course, which leads to a Certificate IV, Diploma or Advanced Diploma in Project Management. Iain also delivers special topics in Project Management such as 'Project Earned Value Management' and 'Project Governance' courses. Together, EEA and The Moreland Group have conducted project management training to more than 20,000 participants from over 500 different organisations.
As an EEA expert facilitator, Iain has worked with engineers of all disciplines and with engineering organisations across all sectors of engineering. In addition to this, he has also delivered project management solutions and professional development to broader technical and non-technical professionals including research scientists, health professionals, ICT professionals, not-for-profit professionals, HRM/organisational management professionals and marketing and sales people. He has also worked with many senior executives in project management and governance systems and processes.
Iain has a Grad Dip in Project Management and a Diploma of Training and Assessment Systems. He is a member of the Australian Institute of Project Management (AIPM), and the Project Management Institute (PMI).
Iain has a team of local based facilitators in Adelaide, Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth and Sydney to support the delivery of the Diploma of Project Management (Full Program). Each facilitator is equally as experienced and an expert in delivering Project Management workshops and supporting the assessment of Engineers toward the Diploma of Project Management.
